Let’s talk about the future of Carstairs — together.
On Tuesday, October 7, 2025, the Carstairs & Community Chamber of Commerce is hosting an Open Forum for all registered municipal election candidates at the Carstairs Community Hall.
This is your chance to meet the people running for 1 mayor position and 6 councillor seats — and hear directly what they’d do for our town.
Hosting this forum is part of what we do as your Chamber. We’re here to advocate for local businesses and the community we live in. Decisions about things like roads, zoning, housing, and taxes don’t just happen at the town office — they impact all of us who live, work, and do business here.
By putting on this event, we’re making sure:
Everyone gets equal access to the candidates.
Local issues are front and center.
The conversation stays open, fair, and respectful.
It’s about giving Carstairs a stronger voice.

👉 Submit your question here
Deadline to submit is October 3, 2025. Questions should stick to local issues — think infrastructure, zoning, housing, property taxes, and things that matter day-to-day in Carstairs.
Invites have gone out to all registered candidates as required under Alberta’s Local Authorities Election Act. Everyone gets the same info, the same time, the same stage.
(And just so you know: a minimum of five registered candidates is needed for the forum to move ahead.)
This event is free and open to the public.
So mark your calendar, grab a seat, and take part in a conversation that matters.
