This is your invitation to connect with other local business owners, have a real say in the direction of the Chamber, and help shape what comes next for the Carstairs business community.
This year’s AGM is in person only. There will be no virtual option. If you want to vote, you need to be in the room.
Members bring your business cards and a business buddy. Come be part of the conversation.
This is not just a meeting.
The AGM is where:
You get a say in who represents local business.
You help set priorities for the year ahead.
You hear what the Chamber has been working on behind the scenes.
You connect with other business owners in a relaxed, social setting.
You can step into leadership if that interests you.
Whether you want to be more involved or just want to stay informed, this night matters.
A short review of the past year.
A look at where the Chamber is going in 2026.
Board elections for all positions.
Open conversation about priorities and focus.
Time to network, connect, and meet other business owners.
A welcoming, social atmosphere with food and conversation.
All board positions are up for election at the AGM.
All positions go up for election every year.
No one person can hold the same role for two years in a row.
To nominate or vote, you must be a member in good standing, meaning your membership is paid and up to date.
You do not need prior board experience to put your name forward.
Joining the board is not about doing everything yourself.
Every new board receives:
A full board orientation from Alberta Chamber Services.
A 1-day strategic planning workshop with Alberta Chamber Services to set the vision and priorities for the year.
Roles are shared. Support is built in. You are not expected to figure it out alone.
Serving on the board:
Builds leadership and governance experience.
Expands your network.
Gives you a real voice in how the business community is supported.
Helps shape the future of Carstairs.
